Winter Weather Advisory, Snow Coming Late Sunday Into Monday


RadioOnFire.com - A wintry mix will come to Maryland late Sunday night into Monday morning. Snow is expected to approach as temperatures drop closer to freezing late Sunday night. South of Baltimore, it will be warm enough for just rain, but north of Baltimore, it will snow, with maybe an inch or two of accumulation for the Monday morning commute.




Temperatures will go up during day Monday and precipitation will change to a light mix of rain and snow. Then, it all starts over again Monday night into Tuesday morning.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM EST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow, sleet and freezing rain expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches and ice accumulations of less than a tenth of an inch expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, northern and western Maryland, northern Virginia and eastern West Virginia.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Monday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
