RadioOnFire.com - Vasiliy Lomachenko and Jose Pedraza faced off in a lightweight title bout that found Pedraza being knocked down twice.
Lomachenko delivered the blows that caught Pedraza twice in the 11th round. Judges for the fight scored the bout 119-107, 118-108, and 117-109. Both fighters were defending their titles for the first time. As a result of Lomachenko getting the best of Pedraza, both titles were unified. According to ESPN, Lomachenko landed 42 power punches in the 11th round of the bout.
Lomachenko commented on the win, saying “It was my dream to unify titles. It was my next goal. I can now focus on my next chapter.”
