RadioOnFire.com - The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Friday evening through Saturday afternoon. The advisory covers much of Maryland as moderate rainfall is expected with locally heavy rain possible.
As much as 1 to 2 inches of rain could fall with locally higher amounts around 3 inches possible.
Most of the rainfall will hold off until about 6 p.m. and become more widespread by late Friday evening. Rain could be heavy at times through Saturday morning.
Runoff from the rainfall may cause creeks and streams to rise out of their banks, as well as create the potential for flooding in urban areas.
This year has already set a record as the wettest ever in Baltimore.
