RadioOnFire.com - Baltimore County police are seeking the public's help to find a car involved in a fatal hit-and-run.
County police said officers were called just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday to Liberty Road, where a 27-year-old man was crossing the street near Croydon Road when he was struck by a car.
Police said the car, a 1997 to 1999, two-toned cream and silver Lexus ES300, was traveling east on Liberty Road when it struck the man and fled.
"There should be some damage to the front of the car to the headlight and to the right driver's side of the car," Baltimore County police Cpl. Shawn Vinson said.
The victim, Garohn Malik Green, 27, of Catonsville, was taken to Sinai Hospital, where he died.
Green's cousin, Danielle Gomez, said Green was the kind of person who would light up a room and always made everyone smile.
"He was with his dad and his cousin earlier, and they were just hanging out. They always spent time together, and he likes to go off and see other friends, and more than likely he went to see someone else, and by it being so late, he didn't want to bother anyone for a ride," Gomez said. "The gas attendant said he was there trying to potentially get a hack or find a way home and crossed the street. He saw two cars speeding, and boom, it just hit him, kept going."
Green's family is hoping someone will recognize the vehicle and call police.
"Just come forward. I'm the cousin, and by me being the first cousin, that's it, I don't have a cousin anymore, and I'm speaking on behalf of our entire family. Our family is huge, and it took such a toll on everybody," Gomez said. "You could have stopped. You could have done something. You just killed somebody and you just kept going."
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or Baltimore County police at 410-307-2020
