Severe Flooding Causing Issues Throughout Baltimore Area

RadioOnFire.com - Severe flooding has been reported in many parts of the Baltimore metro region, including Baltimore City as parts of the region remain under flood watches and warnings. Meadow Mill, a business complex that's underneath the Jones Falls Expressway and next to the Jones Falls, was self-evacuated by the property manager.

The raging waters were at one point covering an entire parking lot.

Brian Arnold, who owns Nepenthe Homebrew, said it is the third flood they've experienced since 2013.

"We're moving out on Sunday," Arnold said. "We were going to spend this week packing up. We have a Uhaul lined up for Sunday so we could get everything out, and maybe we don't need the truck now."

He said the property manager called him at 6:30 a.m., saying that they were sealing up the building and that everyone had to get out and move their vehicles from the parking lot.

Residents of the Medfield neighborhood said they know how quickly waters can rise and how dangerous they are.
"All the places over there will get flooded out. Last time, they all got flooded out and cars were parked over there. They couldn't get their cars out. It was, like, cars were piled up on top of each other. It was bad," said Donna Stewart.
Baltimore City Fire Department was at the scene for several hours and closed the road at the location to prevent motorists from entering. They left the scene once the water started receding.
