LaVar Ball Pulls Sons From Lithuanian Team

RadioOnFire.com - After several long months of playing in basketball in Lithuania, LaVar Ball has decided to take his sons LaMelo and LiAngelo off the team over a dispute with the BC Vytautas Prienai coach.

In a slightly similar fashion to how the youngest son LaMelo was pulled from Chino Hills High School, LaVar got into a heated dispute with coach Virginijus Sesku over LiAngelo’s playing time. Lithuanian basketball and Ball family beat reporter Donatas Urbonas broke the news via Twitter that BC Vytautas was officially confirmed that the entire Ball family will part ways with the team with two games left in the regular season.

“Ball reality show comes to an end,” Urbonas tweeted. “BC Vytautas confirmed that Ball brothers are set to leave Lithuania next week, with two LKL regular season games left to play. BC Vytautas still will be fighting to avoid relegation.”

The sports reported then tweeted a quote from LaVar confirming the news which was reportedly provoked by LiAngelo injuring his ankle and LaMelo “not getting any playing time”. "We're not going to waste our time no more", he said. In that same tweet, Urbonas said that the eldest son and Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball was visiting his family in Prienai and will be leaving either Sunday or Monday.

Urbonas also added in his series of tweets that the Ball family patriarch pulled LiAngelo to prepare him for the forthcoming NBA Draft, but took serious issue with LaMelo’s lack of playing time. And even though LaVar was happy with Lithuania, its citizens and the BC Vytautas organization, “I just didn’t get along with the coach,” he stated.

LaVar also confirmed with the Lithuanian basketball reporter that LiAngelo will not return to Lithuania due to his NBA aspirations, he is unsure about LaMelo’s future with the team going forward. “We’ll see. He is still so young,” he said when asked if LaMelo will play next season. As for LiAngelo, he boldly stated, “You really ask me this? Coach ruined everything and he’ll have to pay the price that Melo is not coming back.”

This would be the second time each of the boys would be removed from a basketball team after LaMelo was pulled from Chino Hills High School and LiAngelo was pulled from UCLA a few weeks after his infamous shoplifting incident.
