WWE's Jonathan Coachman Responds to Sexual Allegations

RadioOnFire.com - Earlier this week, it was reported that former ESPN employee Adrienne Lawrence filed a federal sexual harassment lawsuit against the sports media outlet. According to court documents obtained by USA TODAY Sports, Lawrence alleges that she was harassed by multiple ESPN staffers, including on-air talent.

Lawrence, who joined ESPN in 2015 through a two-year fellowship program, claims that former anchor Jonathan Coachman was among many who hit on her and many other women, contributing to the "misogynistic and predatory culture” at the company.

Coachman, who now works for WWE, took to Twitter on Tuesday to denounce the accusations. "In 21 years of being a PROFESSIONAL I have never been more offended in my life," Coachman wrote. "In my 9 years, I can count on one hand the amount of times I interacted with anyone other than a co-anchor. To allow someone to spread vicious lies and flat out fabrications is not ok and it’s time someone stood up for themselves."

He went on to say that he is confronting the claims just as Jemele Hill did on Monday after the suit claimed Hill received a “threatening and racially disparaging voicemail” from host Chris Berman in 2016. “I am also offended that someone can dangerously throw peoples’ names into something for the clear attempt at getting headlines.”Coachman explained. "My heart goes out to anyone falsely accused of anything. Trust me it doesn’t feel good. But most of you have been incredible and supportive. Onward and upward.”
