Some Areas Under Winter Storm Watch Wednesday

RadioOnFire.com - A wintry mix is expected in the Baltimore metro region Wednesday.

Clouds increase Tuesday, with showers possible in the afternoon. There is another coastal low developing into Wednesday, though not as strong or as windy as Friday, meteorologist Ava Marie said.

The low could produce a rain-snow mix in central Maryland. The northern and northeast suburbs -- Baltimore to Cecil counties -- have the highest chance of snow accumulation on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for northern Baltimore County, northwest Harford County and all of Cecil County late Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon.

WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Significant accumulations of wet snow possible. There is the potential for 5 or more inches of snow.

* WHERE...Northern Baltimore and Northwest Harford Counties.

* WHEN...From late tonight through Wednesday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is a possibility of difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute on Wednesday. Significant reductions in visibility are possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
