Resisting Gun Control is Irresponsible. Everyone Should Not Have a Gun!

RadioOnFire.com - The biggest misconception in the minds of NRA supporters and people that don't want any kind of gun control is that false notion that any changes or amendments to what citizens should be allowed to purchase guns somehow infringes on their Constitutional rights. Gun control does not mean you can't have your gun; unless you yourself are unfit.

Jovana Vajagic of DePaul University wrote an enlightening article entitled '6 MAJOR GUN CONTROL ARGUMENTS DEBUNKED' were she said:

Cars actually have more regulations than guns and these regulations take major steps in preventing deadly situations. For example, states like Florida and Nevada don’t require a permit to purchase long guns or handguns but a permit is required to drive. It seems like purchasing and using a rifle is much easier than purchasing and using a car, which is unsettling. To keep guns legal, they must be regulated, at least as much as cars.

Just like it is necessary for the safety of drivers and pedestrians alike,  to control the speed of cars on highways and streets across this great country, it is long over due to ensure that only the most mentally able citizens are allowed to legally buy guns.

Gun Control is needed just like Birth Control, Border Control or Damage Control. Looking at each point individually you will find an undeniable similarity.

  • Birth control is the act of preventing unwanted pregnancy. Methods include medications, procedures, devices, and behaviors.
  • Border controls are measures taken by a country to monitor or regulate its borders. Border controls are put in place to control the movement of people, animals and goods into as well as out of a country.
  • Damage control is an action taken to limit the damaging effects of an accident or error.
Gun rights advocates rarely see anyone they feel should not be allowed to legally obtain a firearm. This warped mindset is especially troubling in this era of mass shootings. Trying to better screen potentially irresponsible gun owners should be something NRA enthusiast take pride in, however they are currently just fine with turning a blind eye to an epidemic they could help change.
