Ohio Pastor, Wife, & Daughter Allegedly Rob Sunday School Teacher at Church

RadioOnFire.com - A Toledo, Ohio pastor and his family are facing charges after they allegedly robbed a Sunday school teacher while she was teaching a class over the weekend.

According to the Toledo Blade, Pastor Anthony Morris, 49, of St. Paul’s AME Zion Church, along with his wife, 46-year-old Zelda Morris, and their 19-year-old daughter Kamali Morris, have each been charged with the first-degree felony of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

The police report states that 39-year-old Nickema Turner was in the middle of teaching a Sunday school class when Kamali grabbed her by the hair, at which point her mother Zelda began punching Ms. Turner. Anthony Morris also allegedly pushed Turner to the ground.

While Turner was being assaulted, her purse was allegedly taken by Mrs. Morris who dumped its contents onto the ground and took them. The stolen items included two prescription bottles, a Taser, and a cell phone, according to the police report.

When Turner made an attempt to get her stolen items back from the family, Pastor Morris allegedly pulled a gun and pointed it at her. According to Turner, Morris threatened to kill her.

The Morris family fled the church before police arrived, though the couple was later arrested. Authorities have yet to locate the daughter.
