RadioOnFire.com - The White House hasn't announced plans for the President to be in attendance at U.S. Bank Stadium to watch the New England Patriots take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII, and the mayor of Minneapolis is apparently relieved that he won't be having to deal with such a headache.
TMZ caught up with Mayor Jacob Frey heading into the weekend, and among the questions posed to him was how receptive he'd be to a Trump visit. Mayor Frey has gained a reputation for keeping it real over the course of his tenure in office, and that became evident in how he ended a Super Bowl weekend 'welcome video' he recently recorded by asking, "are we seriously welcoming the f**king Eagles fans?"
Frey did his best to hold his tongue when the reporter inquired into whether he'd open his arms to the Commander-In-Chief. But even in keeping it short and sweet, he was clear about where he stands on the current administration.
"Ah, man... I mean, look... I'm no fan of President Trump. That's all I'll say," said Frey.
Last month Trump became the target of an NAACP protest over his attendance at the College Football Playoff National Championship game. While the grand majority of fans received him with cheers, there were recordings of the event that picked up a faint undercurrent of boos.
