RadioOnFire.com - WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon has officially announced a new football league XFL, which he previously tried to launch back in 2001. The live stream/Q&A session for the XFL happened online via Alpha Entertainment's YouTube channel.
McMahon is taking multiple questions from reporters about the new sports venture. He says he's not worried about the 'oversaturation" of football -- although there's currently the NFL as well as college football. There's also no word on any ideal cities or stadium usage. But McMahon assures that's it's going to be "good football" and a "much faster game." His goal is to make the games about 2 hours.
When asked whether or not XFL players will be required to stand for the national anthem, McMahon said he thinks it "would be appropriate". You can catch the live stream (which started at 3 pm EST) here
