RadioOnFire.com - Malisa Stevens, 41, and Dion Stevens, 34, a couple living in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania have been charged for waterboarding their 12-year-old daughter.
The couple has been on the run since May when the police started investigating the allegations that they had been torturing their daughter. Once the police became aware of the incident in April, they issued warrants for the Stevens and they vanished.
“[She said they] would take her down to the basement and tie her to a chair and if she screamed, they shoved water down her throat,” a neighbor told KDKA-TV.
After the police were called, the couple admitted to them that they saw the waterboarding technique in a movie.
“A wet towel was then placed over her face,” an affidavit obtained by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette states. “She was then tilted backwards with her feet off the ground and a bucket of cold water was poured over her covered face.”
The Stevens' are currently nowhere to be found. The couple is facing charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and other charges. According to the NY Daily News, Beaver County District Attorney, David Lozier has stated the couple is expected to turn themselves in.
