Seven Injured and One Dead in Church Shooting in Tennessee

RadioOnFire.com - Authorities have confirmed that there has been a shooting at Burnett's Chapel Church of Christ in Antioch Tennessee, which is right outside of Nashville. Police began to hear complaints of gunfire around 11:15 AM CT.

It has been confirmed that one person was killed and seven people were injured. The shooter has been taken into custody.

The Nashville Fire Dept. tweeted:

"Medical personnel are treating 8 wounded church goers shot at Burnett’s Chapel Church of Christ. Shooter among wounded."

"This is a mass casualty situation. All of the wounded have been transported to area hospitals. The majority are older adults."

There aren't many details on the shooting as the story is still developing but it has been reported that the shooter is Emanuel Kidega Samson. Samson wrote two cryptic messages on his Facebook page not long before the shooting took place:

“Everything you've ever doubted or made to be believe as false, is real. & vice versa, B.”

Along with two photos of Samson flexing his muscles and the caption:

"unrestricted paroxysm."

Police spokesman, Don Aaron told USA Today that Samson used to attend the church:

"He actually had attended this church a year or two years ago," Aaron said. "They said he hasn't been there in quite a while. They couldn't be more definitive on that, but they actually knew him."
