Baltimore Warehouse Fire Creates Massive Smoke Plume

RadioOnFire.com - Baltimore City Firefighters are on the scene of a huge, multi-alarm fire in a vacant warehouse in South Baltimore.

The fire broke out around 7 a.m. at 1028 East Patapsco Avenue, just a few blocks west of Pennington Ave in Baltimore City.

While the building is unoccupied, it is loaded with clothes and toys and packing materials.

Firefighters initially reported there were water supply issues, causing big difficulties in battling the blaze.

The incident commander reports that most of the roof and several of the walls of the 94-thousand square foot warehouse have collapsed.

No injuries have been reported.

The fire has forced the closure of Patapsco Avenue between 9th Street and Pennington Avenue and 9th Street north of Patapsco Avenue
