Draymond Green: LeBron Can Be the GOAT, But He Can't Get this Ring

RadioOnFire.com - During an exclusive Good Morning America interview pairing Steph Curry with Draymond Green, on Wednesday, May 31, it was Green who stepped up to take the question, when the Golden State teammates were asked their thoughts on Lebron James' legacy. After Green responded that "it don't really matter," anchor T.J. Holmes doubled down, inquiring once again into how close he feels King James is to being crowned the G.O.A.T. And Green would give him his just due, so long as everybody is clear that he won't beat the Warriors in the 2017 NBA Finals.
"He can uh, he can have that title. He just can't have this ring," said Green. He then admitted to believing LBJ to be a great player, whose ability to continue dominating the game is impressive. But with such a huge series of contests lying ahead, it isn't like he is currently paying the Cavs great's accomplishments any attention. The Warriors forward is too busy locking in on Thursday's opener. "Our goal isn't to make everyone say: 'Hey, Lebron isn't the greatest player of all time'," said Green. "More power to him."
Although his jovial temperament while talking James would appear the suggest that the Cavs and Warriors have established a civil rivalry, fans already know that Green is going to attempt to get under James' skin. Although, after what happened last year with the series-altering suspension that resulted as a consequence of his tussles with James in Game 4, one must wonder what Draymond will do so as to keep Lebron from getting too comfortable, without slowing down the clock with penalties and riff raff.
