VP Mike Pence Warns North Korea that "The Sword Stands Ready"

RadioOnFire.com - Vice President Mike Pence spoke to U.S. servicemen and Japanese Self-Defense Forces personnel in Japan on Wednesday (April 19) as he sent another stern warning to North Korea. In his speech on the USS Ronald Reagan, he declared that when dealing with the often-confrontational country, “all options are on the table.”
At the United States Naval base in Yokosuka, Pence announced that the U.S. would work with various allies to “apply diplomatic and economic pressure” on North Korea until it ends its ballistic and nuclear weapons programs.
“But as all of you know,” he said, “readiness is the key, and you – the instruments of American policy – should know, all options are on the table. History will attest the soldier does not bear the sword in vain.”
In his speech, Pence strongly declares, “Those who would challenge our resolve or our readiness should know: We will defeat any attack and meet any use of conventional or nuclear weapons with an overwhelming and effective American response.”
“The United States of America will always seek peace,” he added. “But under President Trump, the shield stands guard, and the sword stands ready.”
The Vice President was addressing U.S. military personnel and Japanese sailors aboard the aircraft carrier where he added that the infamous regime had, for more than a generation, had a strong desire to build nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles. As a result, North Korea and its people became dangerously impoverished.
After decades of working to disarm North Korea and bring stability back to the regime, they continued to bring nothing more than, as Pence says, “willful deception, with broken promises, and nuclear and missile tests,”
He added in his message to the “enemies of our freedom”, “As President Trump has made clear to the world, the era of strategic patience is over.” He continues by saying, “The enemies of our freedom and this alliance would do well not to test the resolve of this president or the capabilities of the armed forces of the United States of America and our allies.”
Despite these strong words, Vice President Pence says the United States will continue to seek out peaceful dialogue and continue to defend human rights.
