Pence Wants to Reverse Roe v. Wade, Thousands March for Abortion Ban

RadioOnFire.com - In Washington, D.C. on Friday, January 27. 2017 marked the 44th time pro-life advocates have taken to the nation's capital, where they pushed an agenda to outlaw abortion in the United States of America once and for all. This year's rally had many claiming victory in their fight, as the presence of Vice President Mike Pence signified the appearance of the highest ranking government official to ever speak at the event.
According to Karen Pence, it wasn't the first March for Life she and her husband have ever attended. That much may be true, but with Pence now as close to the office of Commander In Chief as he is, the message delivered to the nation on Friday was no doubt magnified. “Life is winning in America,” he said to cheers. “And today is a celebration of the progress that we have made in the cause,” he told the cheering crowd.
While on stage, Pence vouched for Trump, saying that it was actually the President who asked him to be there. Trump has had an unsteady record in regards to his position on Roe Vs. Wade. Throughout his campaign to defeat the republican field and win the primaries for a shot at Hillary Clinton, footage of him going public to declare himself pro-choice was constantly exploited by his conservative opposition. But Trump has most recently proclaimed that the recordings are outdated and that he has since evolved on the issue. While some of Friday's demonstrators expressed a bit of difficulty trusting that Trump will legislate on the side of "life," most spoke of having confidence that Pence could hold him accountable to serving the demands of his pro-life base.
Pence is a lifelong pro-lifer, who has gone as far as to spearhead "personhood" legislation, which would have the law afford unborn fetus' constitutional rights at the moment of fertilization. He was known during his tenure as governor of Indiana, for having endorsed numerous anti-abortion bills, many of which were knocked down by the federal government. But Trump's reinstatement of the "Mexico City Policy," which bans global health organizations who receive federal U.S. funding from promoting or performing abortions, has instilled confidence in the administration from pro-life Americans.
Standing before his scores of supporters, the Vice President confided in them that the administration doesn't plan on slowing down, hinting that next week's Supreme Court appointment just may be the Justice they've all been waiting for. The new Judge will "uphold the God-given liberties enshrined in our Constitution in the tradition of the late and great Justice Antonin Scalia,” promised Pence.
