RadioOnFire.com - 14-year-old Nakia Venant committed suicide on Facebook live this past Monday. The Florida teen was in foster case and hung herself as her foster parents slept.
Venant live-streamed the video, using a noose fashioned out of a scarf and hanging herself from her bathroom door around 3 AM. A friend called the police but it was too late to save her.
Venant's Facebook page was quickly deleted. Facebook spokesperson Christine Chen said that Facebook stops livestreams that violate community standards “as quickly as possible.”
