Man Arrested In Elkton Double Murder

RadioOnFire.com - Cecil County sheriff's deputies and Maryland state troopers have arrested a man in a double murder in Elkton.
Marty Cyle Holbrook, 30, most recently of the 900 block of West Pulaski Highway, faces two counts each of second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and related charges.
Deputies and state troopers were called around 9:30 p.m. Monday to the 900 block of West Pulaski Highway for the reported shooting. There they found James David Crockett Jr., 30, and Vicky Lynn Holbrook, 50, dead and the apparent victims of gunshot wounds. The bodies of both are awaiting an autopsy.
At the scene, investigators identified Marty Holbrook as a suspect. They found that Vicky Holbrook's 2004 Ford Explorer was missing. Two hours later, a concerned relative drove Marty Holbrook to the sheriff's office, and he was then taken into custody and taken to a medical facility due to an unrelated medical issue. At the home of the family member who brought Marty Holbrook to the sheriff's office, they found the missing vehicle.
The arrest warrant on Marty Holbrook will be served upon his release from treatment. A motive remains unknown. Anybody with more information is asked to call Det. William Sewell at 410-392-2125.
