O'Malley: Democratic Party Needs To Start Having Presidential Debates



Former Governor and Democratic Presidential candidate Martin O'Malley says the Democratic Party needs to start having presidential debates, so that Democrats don't get "bogged down" by questions of Hilary Clinton's emails. 

On ABC's This Week, O'Malley said it's up to Clinton to answer questions over whether she deleted classified emails from her personal server. 

O'Malley, who has criticized the Democratic National Committee for limiting the number debates, said that "we cannot allow our party to be branded by those questions of the past. 

On the issue of Vice President Joe Biden's possible entry in the race, O'Malley said that "it would be nice to have one more lifelong Democrat in the race." 
Asked by host George Stephanapolous, if that was a criticism of Bernie Sanders, who admits he is a socialist, O'Malley said his remarks were a compliment of the vice president. 

O'Malley said he would not get into a "name calling battle" with Donald Trump, who this week called O'Malley, "a disgusting weak pathetic baby," for apologizing to "black lives matters" protesters recently. 

O'Malley did say he would debate Trump on immigration and the economy. Last week, O'Malley attended a demonstration of workers at Trump's Las Vegas hotel, who were trying to unionize
