A mistrial was declared for the other four defendants. All five men were charged with murdering Carter Scott and the attempted murder of his father, Rashaw Scott.
Harvey will be sentenced on August 31. He is facing three consecutive life sentences.
In a statement, State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby said, “The tragic murder of an innocent 1-year old baby is completely intolerable so I am pleased to know that one of the men responsible for taking this child’s life will rightfully spend time behind bars. We will continue to seek justice on behalf of this child and his family.”
Carter Scott was a year old.
