Colin Kaepernick Invited to Next Meeting with NFL Owners

RadioOnFire.com - Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is expected to receive an invite to the next meeting between NFL players and team owners, according to league sources.

"We look forward to him joining the conversation," NFL vice president of communications Joe Lockhart said in a conference call on Wednesday. According to Lockhart, Kaepernick's invitation would likely come from the players.

“My understanding is Colin Kaepernick has been invited to these last two meetings. He has been in the discussion with the players’ coalition. Lockhart said. "I expect that he will be invited to this meeting. We look forward to him joining the conversation with the (NFL Players Association), but I don’t have any confirmation that he’s planning to attend.”

Last week, the NFL and NFLPA held a meeting to discuss the ongoing protests during the national anthem. According to Kap's former teammate Eric Reid, the quarterback did not attend because he was not officially invited by the league.

Kaepernick, who filed a collusion claim against the NFL, remains unemployed. Recently, Kap's former NFC West rival, Richard Sherman said he believes the league is making an example out of the quarterback. “I think they had a point to make, and they made it.’’

Ravens Face Dolphins On Thursday Night Football

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — Coach John Harbaugh won't use the Baltimore Ravens' mounting injuries as an excuse for their recent woes.
Nonetheless, the depleted roster has taken a toll on the team.
The Ravens, who have 15 players on injured reserve, have lost four of their past five games, including a 24-16 setback to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Baltimore (3-4) trails first-place Pittsburgh (5-2) by two games and has already lost to the Steelers at home.
Harbaugh estimates the Ravens need at least 10 wins to to avoid missing the postseason for the fourth time in five years. That challenge could be daunting.
"We're already in unchartered territory," Harbaugh said at his Monday press conference. "I don't know how many other teams have had this many injuries on offense. We'll just see how it plays out. We have a lot of tough guys. It's about mental toughness. You have to put everything aside, ignore the noise and go out there and fight. We have a bunch of guys I know who will do that."

Baltimore has scored one offensive touchdown in the past two games. The Ravens were missing receivers Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) and Breshad Perriman (concussion) against the Vikings. Fellow veteran receiver Mike Wallace had to leave the game in the first quarter with a potential concussion.
Baltimore is also missing two starters on the offensive line and has been forced to start rookie Jermaine Eluemunor at right guard.
"Reality is what it is. We have to find a way to do what we have to do," Harbaugh said about overcoming the injuries. "We did not turn the ball over and that was a goal in this game. We thought that would give us a chance. We didn't do enough of the other things we need to do to win the game."
Quarterback Joe Flacco has taken much of the criticism for the team's struggles on offense. Over seven games, Flacco has thrown for 1,189 yards with five touchdowns and eight interceptions. His 70.0 passer rating ranks 31st in the league.

Don Lemon Receives Death Threat from White Nationalist Trump Supporter

CNN host Don Lemon has been a vocal critic of President Trump over the course of his nine months in office and his public scrutiny of the Commander-In-Chief is now beginning to come back and confront him in his personal life. In a story broken by TMZ on Wednesday, October 25, it was reported that Lemon has become the recipient of multiple death threats, prompting him to notify the New York Police Department for his own safety.

The messages are frightening, with one reading, "F**k you n****r can't wait to stab your neck," and another labeling Lemon a "pile of rotting Dogs**t, racist, communist, socialist, Liberal moron a**hole," and making inference to the urgency of danger with a promise to make Lemon pay "real soon." On one of the culprit's social media pages, he/she reportedly identifies as a "white nationalist conservative pro-gun anti-Islam anti-terrorist anti-leftist," and declares "HATE" for Democrats, the Black Lives Matter movement, Antifa, and socialists. The profile goes on to list the user as a "heavily armed racist," before proclaiming WLM (White Lives Matter).

The NYPD is currently investigating the case with aims to make an arrest for aggravated harassment.

Lemon, who was once viewed as a considerably moderate news pundit with views that at times conflicted with the social justice overtones of the post-Trayvon Martin era, has increasingly challenged the status quo, particularly as it concerns the rhetoric of the current administration. Earlier this week he dedicated a portion of his nightly telecast to speak directly to the President in defense of the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson's widow, who Trump has been feuding within the press.

"Mr. Trump, please stop it. Please stop! Think of what Sgt. Johnson would want," Lemon told Trump on-air. "You are putting his widow in the terrible position of having to fight for her dignity when she should be concentrating on taking care of herself, her health, her two children, and the one on the way."

Jalen Rose Says NFL and NBA Should Change Rules on Marijuana

RadioOnFire.com - Jalen Rose believes the NFL and NBA should ease their marijuana rules on players.

On Wednesday's edition of ESPN's NBA Countdown, Rose explained that he thinks it must be "cultural" as to why other sports have such loose rules when it comes to marijuana compared to basketball and football.

"For those that don't know alcohol is worse for you than marijuana," Rose said after being asked his view on former NBA commissioner David Stern advocating for the league to remove marijuana from the banned substance list.

"We're only having this conversation in two sports, the NFL and the NBA. I've talked about this for years; this may be cultural because those [are] the only two sports that have salary caps, restrictions after high school, and punish you for marijuana use. They don't do so in Nascar, in golf, in hockey, or major league baseball."

Jalen Rose is not the only former player calling for the change in league policy. Recently, John Salley told TMZ that the marijuana is less harmful to players than alcohol. "I call it a safer alternative. I don't know that many players with DU highs. They got dudes with DUI but, not DU highs. So it's going to take a hit to the beverage companies but its a safer, better, cleaner alternative for your health."

Female Israeli Soldier Challenges 30 Ultra-Orthodox Jews

RadioOnFire.com - A young woman showed off her fighting skills last week, pushing back about 30 Ultra-Orthodox Jews who were protesting the military draft in Jerusalem.

Off-duty soldier Nomi Golan was trying to guide a car through the massive protest, where she was harassed by a large group of men. Protesters cursed, spat, and even called Golan out her name as she attempted to do her job.

“They attacked me, so as a soldier, a civilian, an old woman, young or no matter what role I or what I was wearing, I defended myself as I would in any other situation,” she said according to The Washington Post.

The clip shows Golan taking on the protestors by herself, she pushes and kicks, eventually guiding the car through the crowded street.

Reportedly, the protests occurred after two yeshiva students were arrested by the army for not showing up at the military recruitment office. Although Ultra-Orthodox students have been exempt from serving in the military, they are still required to present themselves to the army (with a letter from their school.) However, many students refuse to do so. Nearly 60 people were arrested in the protest according to police.

Trump Still Defends Call to Army Widow, Says He Was "Extremely Nice"

RadioOnFire.com - President Trump continued his denial of allegations that he was less than sincere when he called the widow of a Green Beret killed in an ambush in Niger.

On Wednesday, Oct. 25, during an impromptu press conference with reporters outside the White House, Trump stated he was "extremely nice" to the wife of Army Sgt. La David Johnson.

"I can only say this. I was really nice to her," said Trump. "I respect her. I respect her family." While Johnson's widow, Myeshia Johnson, has since backed up the claims made by Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, Johnson told Good Morning America, Trump had trouble remembering the name of her husband.

"That's what hurt me the most, because if my husband is out here fighting for our country and he risked his life for our country, why can't you remember his name?" said Myeshia Johnson.

Despite Jackson's claims, Trump believes there is no way he forgot because he has an excellent memory. "I certainly respect La David, who, by the way, I called 'La David' right from the beginning, just so you understand," Trump told reporters. "They put a chart in front: La David. It says 'La David Johnson.' So right from the beginning, no hesitation. One of the great memories of all time."

Paul Rosenberg Teases the Title of Eminem's New Album

RadioOnFire.com - Eminem’s manager and soon to be Def Jam CEO Paul Rosenberg may have hinted at the Detroit rapper’s new album title in a recent Instagram post.

In the photo, Rosenberg held up a CD copy of Yelawolf’s “Trial By Fire” album and in the background a generic pharmaceutical ad that features Eminem’s trademark backward E can be seen which reads “Seize the moment with Revival.” The same ad is now floating around the internet and features a phone number at the top for anyone with questions about the product. Upon further investigation, Vlad TV this is indeed a subliminal ad for Eminem when it dialed the number.

A recorded message that references a fake disease and some of Eminem’s previous work can be heard in it. “Thank you for your interest in Revival, the No.1 slightly invasive treatment for Atrox Rithimus. You only get one shot to beat AR,” the recording said. After listing off a lot of side effects, the seriousness of the ad starts to unravel. “We give you some serious f**king credit for sticking through this ad.” It then goes on to list older Eminem songs including “Brain Damage” from The Slim Shady LP. The instrumental to Dr. Dre's "I Need a Doctor" can also be heard in the background during the recording.

Eminem is rumored to be dropping his new album on November 17th although it has not been officially confirmed by the rapper’s camp.

Texas Man Offered Marine Buddy $25K to Kill Ex After She Got with Black Guy

RadioOnFire.com - A Texas man is in police custody after placing a hit on his ex-girlfriend and her new black boyfriend. Keith Cote, 62, approached one of his Marine friends to do the job, offering him $10K to shoot the man and another $15K to "put a bullet in her head." Court papers state that Cote approached his friend during a University of Texas tailgate party where he disclosed his proposition and that Cote felt this man had "killed before" and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Much to Cote's chagrin, his friend alerted local law enforcement of the plan and began to cooperate with police to build a case against Cote.

Authorities apprehended Cote on Monday, charging him with soliciting to commit capital murder. Cote is currently being held on $1M bond at the Travis County Jail.

Bush in 2014.
“He didn’t shake my hand. He touched me from behind from his wheelchair with his wife Barbara Bush by his side. He told me a dirty joke. And then, all the while being photographed, touched me again," Lind wrote. The former Boardwalk Empire actress was detailing an interaction she claims to have occurred during a screening that was held one week before the premiere of her most recent drama. "President Bush would never — under any circumstance — intentionally cause anyone distress, and he most sincerely apologizes if his attempt at humor offended Ms. Lind," the publication cites the representative as stating.
