"Coming To America" Sequel Confirmed After 30 Years

RadioOnFire.com - Eddie Murphy is on the verge of making the kind of comeback fans of the 56-year-old comedian can appreciate. Following a year of developments on his return via a fourth installation of the Beverly Hills Cop series, word got around that a sequel to Coming To America might be in the works. The rumor was actually started when in March, Murphy himself, tweeted an image of actress Vanessa Bell Calloway that bore a caption reading, "Coming to America sequel?" This week the imminence of a part-two to the 80's classic received a confirmation with the naming of the film's director and screenwriter.

Black-ish creator and Girls Trip co-writer Kenya Barris has been tapped to rewrite the script and Jonathan Levine of The Wackness, 50/50, and The Night Before will direct the Kevin Misher production. They replace original writers Barry Blaustein and David Sheffield, original director John Landis and producers of the 1988 original, George Folsey, Jr. and Robert D. Wachs. There has been no word yet on whether actors Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, Shari Headley or John Amos will be returning for the sequel.

No date has been established for the beginning of the film's production or its expected release.

Lisa Bloom Helps Blac Chyna Get Her Range Rover Back from Rob

RadioOnFire.com - Blac Chyna celebrated a small victory in her legal feud with former fiance Rob Kardashian on Thursday, September 28. In addition to the resolved custody battle over their 10-month-old daughter Dream, it looks like the Rob & Chyna stars have also worked out their rift over the Range Rover that Chyna once gifted Rob and has been trying to get back.

Captioned on a photo of her standing beside Lisa Bloom with the truck in the backdrop, is a thank you from Chyna to her famed attorney. The image was shared on social media, and retweeted by Bloom, who responded, "You got it sister." Back in August Chyna nearly got herself into trouble when it was reported that she attempted to jack the ride from the valet parker Rob had called on at the conclusion of a tedious sit down between the two parties at Rob's lawyers Century City office. Chyna saw it as her right to have the vehicle back, considering that after their split she had returned a Ferrari and a Lamborghini he gave her.
The return of the Range had to be a mood booster following a week during which Chyna was accused of punching and strangling Rob with an iPhone charger in December of 2016. Details of the incident are laid out in a lawsuit that also alleges she caused $100,000 worth of damage by trashing a home they were renting from Kylie.

Packers Ask Fans to Show Solidarity with NFL before Tonight’s Game

RadioOnFire.com - The Green Bay Packers released a statement Tuesday asking their fans to participate in their showing of support for the recent NFL #TakeaKnee protests before Thursday night’s game at Lambeau Field.
What are they asking fans to do?

The Packers made clear their intention to lock arms in unity on the field before their game against the Chicago Bears, and asked their fans to do the same.

“Join us this Thursday by locking arms with whoever you’re with, stranger or loved one, wherever you are — intertwined and included — in this moment of unification,” the statement said.

What are they showing support for specifically?

The Packers statement said they stand in unity for freedom, equality, tolerance, and justice, and stand against discrimination.

“The image you will see on September 28th will be one of unity. It will represent a coming together of players who want the same things that all of us do — freedom, equality, tolerance, understanding, and justice for those who have been unjustly treated, discriminated against or otherwise treated unfairly,” the players said in the news release.

“You will see the sons of police officers, kids who grew up in military families, people who have themselves experienced injustice and discrimination firsthand, and an array of others all linking together in a display of unity,” the statement added.

Read the full statement below:

The NFL family is one of the most diverse communities in the world. Just look around! The eclectic group of players that you root for, the coaches you admire, the people you sit next to in the stands, those high-fiving on military bases, fans at the sports bar or during tailgate parties — we all come from different walks of life and have unique backgrounds and stories.

The game of football brings people together. As NFL players, we are a living testimony that individuals from different backgrounds and with different life experiences can work together toward a common goal.

This Thursday during the national anthem at Lambeau Field, Packers players, coaches and staff will join together with arms intertwined — connected like the threads on your favorite jersey. When we take this action, what you will see will be so much more than just a bunch of football players locking arms. The image you will see on September 28th will be one of unity. It will represent a coming together of players who want the same things that all of us do — freedom, equality, tolerance, understanding, and justice for those who have been unjustly treated, discriminated against or otherwise treated unfairly. You will see the sons of police officers, kids who grew up in military families, people who have themselves experienced injustice and discrimination firsthand, and an array of others all linking together in a display of unity.

Those of us joining arms on Thursday will be different in so many ways, but one thing that binds us together is that we are all individuals who want to help make our society, our country and our world a better place. We believe that in diversity there can be UNI-versity. Intertwined, we represent the many people who helped build this country, and we are joining together to show that we are ready to continue to build.

Let’s work together to build a society that is more fair and just.

Join us this Thursday by locking arms with whoever you’re with, stranger or loved one, wherever you are—intertwined and included—in this moment of unification.

Kirk Cousins Baby Watch Is On!

WASHINGTON — Kirk Cousins baby watch is on!

The Redskins quarterback and his wife, Julie, are expecting their first child any day now, as she’s now 10 days overdue.

As of Monday, Julie Cousins had yet to show any symptoms, though Cousins informed 106.7 The Fan she was “just starting today to try to do some things that may be able to induce the baby here, so that I’m not going to be in Kansas City when it’s born.”

Even their dog, Bentley, has been on “high alert,” keeping their home well guarded in the event Julie goes into labor at any moment.

Well, that moment may have finally arrived Thursday. Cousins was scheduled to speak with media at Redskins Park, but had to rush out of the facility after receiving a text from Julie.

The timing, should the baby finally arrive today or tomorrow, couldn’t be more ideal, with Cousins and the Redskins traveling to Kansas City this coming weekend to take on the Chiefs on Monday Night Football.

Montreal Team Wants to Sign Colin Kaepernick

RadioOnFire.com - Colin Kaepernick took the time during the previous NFL season to silently protest injustices and police brutality against African-Americans in the United States by kneeling during the national anthem. His gesture sparked much controversy that has only grown bigger a year later. Even the President of the United States gave his harsh opinion on what should be done to those who follow Kaepernick’s approach. Kaepernick’s protest has created so much of an impact that musicians, actors, and TV personalities have gone out of their way to show respect to his cause and kneel in solidarity. Because of his protest, many believe Kaepernick was blackballed from the NFL. When the press asked team owners about Kaepernick and why they wouldn’t sign him, many had views that were tied to the protest.

Now, it appears that Kaepernick still may be able to play for a professional football team if he desires, as the Montreal Alouettes offered the player a contract. The Canadian Football League team reportedly has been in negotiations with Kaepernick for almost a month, but no word has come on if a deal has been set. According to reports, The Alouettes made an offer to Kaepernick, but the football player’s agent has not been responding to calls from the team.

Update: Mugshot of Yo Gotti Associate Arrested in Young Dolph Shooting

Update: LAPD has released the mugshot of Corey McClendon.

----

Corey McClendon, a Memphis native and alleged associate of Yo Gotti, was arrested in the shooting of Young Dolph outside of the Loews Hollywood Hotel on Tuesday (September 26).

In 2010, McClendon was one of nine people arrested after Yo Gotti was in an argument with rapper OG Boo Dirty outside of Level II nightclub in Memphis. All charges were later dropped in the incident due to lack of witnesses. OG Boo Dirty spoke on the situation during an interview with VladTV, which you can check out here.

According to USA Today, McClendon was booked on attempted murder charges, although it's not yet known whether he was the person who shot Young Dolph following an argument outside of the hotel. Two other men were reportedly involved in the situation with the Memphis rapper, who was shot three times before the men fled in a gold Escalade that was later found abandoned.

Young Dolph was moved from critical to stable condition following a surgery on Tuesday, and he's expected to recover following the violent ordeal. This is the second time this year Dolph was involved in a shooting.

Back in May, Dolph's SUV was riddled with bullet holes, but he was left unharmed due to the vehicle being bulletproof. Memphis rapper Blac Youngsta was one of three people arrested in connection to the shootout.

Stay tuned for more details on the situation.

RadioOnFire.com - Rumors floated around earlier this month about JAY-Z and Beyonce headlining a hurricane benefit concert in New York City. Although the story was circulated across various platforms, there was no actual confirmation on the matter. But it seems that the rumors weren't far off. JAY-Z will be among many performers in an all-star lineup for "TIDAL X BROOKLYN" which includes DJ Khaled, Chris Brown, J Lo, Cardi B, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Joey Bada$$, A$AP Ferg, Tee Grizzley, Rapsody, and many others. Bacardi Rum will be sponsoring the event and pledged to donate $1.3M to TIDAL’s Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Efforts. Chairman Facundo L. Bacardi stated,

This partnership with TIDAL: X touches on two areas that are very close to our heart – music, and philanthropy. BACARDĺ is proud to play a part in raising awareness and funding for the regions affected by these terrible disasters, including Puerto Rico, Florida and the Caribbean region -- all homes to our family and company.

Man Gets Locked Up While Trying To Reclaim His Cocaine

RadioOnFire.com - A Connecticut man got himself arrested when he went to a Waterbury precinct to retrieve a bag he left at the scene of an incident they responded to. As it turned out, after the bag was submitted to them, police say they discovered a "moderate amount" of crack cocaine inside of it. He is being held on $11,000 bond.

It was one thing that Davie McMillian, 23, made a poor choice by returning to reclaim the incriminating evidence, but he'd go one further by showing up for the bag with a woman who happened to have a no-contact protective order against him. Reports do not clarify what the incident was that originally drew the attention of law enforcement to the Shelton location where his bag was recovered. But the counts against him do not reflect that he was being dealt any infraction for what occurred prior to authorities coming into possession of the drug. He is facing faces charges of illegal possession of narcotics and violation of a protective order.
McMillian's case is similar to that of a Florida man who contacted a 911 dispatcher to report that someone had broken into his car to steal $50 and a quarter ounce stash of cocaine from the center console.

RadioOnFire.com - Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, who played lovers in HBO's Game of Thrones, are taking the love plunge in real life. The two are engaged to be married.

After People broke the news Tuesday quoting a source, the BBC then featured an official engagement announcement the families published in the Times of London newspaper.

The couple played onscreen lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte on Game of Thrones starting in 2012. Leslie left the cast two years later, Harington's fan-favorite Snow has appeared in seven seasons.

Huge ‘IMPEACH’ Billboard Goes Up Near California’s Bay Bridge

RadioOnFire.com - Wednesday, commuters crossing the Bay Bridge from Oakland to San Francisco were greeted by a billboard with giant yellow letters reading “Impeach” alongside an image of President Donald Trump, said WTSP News.

The sign was placed by the Courage Campaign — a group dedicated to promoting progressive causes that initially coalesced around fighting California’s anti-LGBTQ measure Proposition 8 — and directs viewers to the website demandimpeachmentnow.com.

“We are a grassroots organization. If we are not calling for impeachment, given what has happened, who is?” said Courage Campaign head Eddie Kurtz, who pointed out that more than a million people cross the Bay Bridge every day, making it a keenly desirable location to place a message.

“Trump does something absolutely unacceptable, unethical, just the thing you could never imagine even the worst of our previous presidents doing,” Kurtz told WTSP. “There’s this wave of outrage — it happened after Charlottesville, it happened even before he was elected when he admitted to sexually assaulting women — and then it settles down and his base is still with him.”

The news channel spoke with political scientist Dr. Steve Woolpert of St. Mary’s College, who said that impeachment is currently highly unlikely unless some glaring instance of criminal wrongdoing should come to light.

Ravens' National Anthem Singer Quits, Says He Doesn't Belong Amid Protesting

RadioOnFire.com - The national anthem protest taking place in the NFL has escalated, as Donald Trump has consistently been commenting on the “disrespect” being shown to the flag by players and team owners who are kneeling. Many have been divided regarding who to side with on the matter, and now it appears that the Baltimore Ravens’ national anthem singer has had enough, as the singer announced that he is resigning from his position. Via Facebook, Joey Odoms said “The tone/actions of a large number of NFL fans in the midst of our country's cultural crisis, have convinced me that I do not belong there. Someone once told me to always 'go where you're welcomed.’” He went on to say “This is not an emotional reaction to recent events, rather an ethical decision that part of me regrets but my core knows is the right choice."

Odoms is not just a singer, as he is a part of the Maryland Army National Guard. He was recently interviewed by CBS Baltimore, where he noted that he is not offended by NFL players taking a knee. However, he does not want to get caught up in the back-and-forth of the protests. Odoms said “I support the protest personally — I fought for that right, but I don't like people using people like me to attack those people who are exercising their right. If I express how I feel, a segment of the fanbase would attack me."

Donald Trump Reportedly Stuck Puerto Rico with $32 Million Worth of Debt

RadioOnFire.com - Puerto Rico was devastated by Hurricane Maria and has yet to be met with proper aid from the Trump administration. After being ridiculed and called out regularly, Trump blamed his delayed response to the situation in Puerto Rico on “this thing called the Atlantic.” Now, news has arrived that Trump may have caused Puerto Rico’s economy much more harm before the storm, as his failed Puerto Rico golf course cost the territory and taxpayers more than 32 million dollars.

A report surfaced from Death & Taxes noting that in 2008, Trump borrowed over $26 million for his Trump International Golf Club located in Puerto Rico. The money came in the form of “government-backed bonds” so that renovations and old debts for the club could be taken care of. However, Trump defaulted and declared bankruptcy, which left Puerto Rican to foot the $32.7 million bill he left. The news was brought up when Trump took to Twitter to speak on Puerto Rico’s financial trouble that led to problems with setting up relief efforts. Trump said “…It’s old electrical grid, which was in terrible shape, was devastated. Much of the Island was destroyed, with billions of dollars..” From there, one Twitter responded to Trump’s tweet by linking to an article from PolitiFact that mapped out $32 million debt.

Ray Lewis Responds to Shannon Sharpe, Says He Was Praying Not Kneeling

RadioOnFire.com - Ray Lewis is defending his gesture of solidarity with players, coaches, and personnel on teams across the NFL who protested the President's call for the league's owners to fire those who take a knee during the National Anthem this past weekend. Lewis has been under scrutiny for getting down on his knees after vowing that he'd never do such a thing while criticizing Colin Kaepernick over the Summer. During Tuesday night's (September 26) episode of Inside The NFL the former Baltimore Ravens star sought to set the record straight, stating, “I do too much with the military, with cops. I do way too much,” to dishonor them.

"Let's make sure. You hear people saying, 'Oh, he took a knee.' I absolutely did not take a knee," Lewis insisted. "You hear Shannon Sharpe going out there talking about I dropped on a knee, and, oh I sat in the chair next to him and said I would never do this. And I still didn't do it."

Lewis was persistent in claiming that his gesture was one that he displayed as a means of prayer and to honor God. According to the converted sports analyst, what he saw on the field was "chaos" and disarray, and thought to do what his mother taught him to do in such a circumstance when he decided on taking two knees to the ground.

Firefighter Fired For Saying National Anthem Protesters Should Be Shot

RadioOnFire.com - The national anthem protests by professional athletes and now NASCAR drivers has sparked much debate about if the protest is even appropriate to do in the first place while the anthem is being played. Many have taken to social media to express their opinions, including an Arkansas firefighter, who was recently let go from his position after his harsh views on the subject.

Former firefighter Jonathan Marotti took to his Facebook and said “U want my honest opinion about these worthless piece of crap [professional] football, basketball, and baseball wannabe players, I think Trump should post snipers at every game and each player that takes a knee or sits in the locker room should b shot in the head.” He went on to say “I have no sympathy for them and no respect and as for the rest of u Obama lovin snowflakes out here protesting and makin idiots out of urselves u should be shot on [site] too. if u disagree with me then don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.”

Since then, the Earle Fire Department issued a statement via Facebook saying that they “have relieved that firefighter of duties indefinitely.” The department also noted that they do not agree with any of the statements made by Marotti, and that any kind of behavior like that from any employee will not be tolerated.

--------------
Young Dolph was originally listed in stable condition following the shooting but has now been downgraded to critical condition after his operation.
According to authorities, Dolph was involved in an argument with three men outside the Loews Hollywood Hotel around 1 pm. The argument turned into a physical altercation which caused Dolph to be knocked to the ground. At that point, one of the men involved in the fight pulled out a gun and shot Dolph multiple times. All three men fled immediately afterward as Young Dolph staggered bleeding into the Shoe Palace sneaker store adjacent to the hotel.

The man who police think is the shooter fled in a Gold Escalade, which they found abandoned a block away. Police are searching for 2 black men and 1 Hispanic man they believe were involved in the fight. One man has been arrested but has not been confirmed as the shooter.

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are Having a Girl, Kylie 5 Months Pregnant

RadioOnFire.com - Rumors surfaced of Kylie Jenner being pregnant by Travis Scott, which was confirmed by a rep for Caitlyn Jenner. The rep noted that Kylie Jenner did not personally tell Caitlyn about the pregnancy, but that her father was notified “some time ago.” People noted that the pregnancy was “unexpected” for Jenner and Scott, but that they are both excited about the news. The news of Jenner’s pregnancy arrived late last week, as the reality star told most of her friends while at the Day N Night Festival. Travis Scott allegedly has informed all of his closest friends as well.

Since then, speculation began to arise as to if the child would be a boy or a girl. Now, news has arrived saying that Jenner and Scott are going to have a baby girl. According to TMZ, Scott has already known the baby’s gender and has been making his friends aware for some time now. Along with that, Scott recently has let friends know in private about Jenner’s pregnancy for two months. It was reported that Jenner is around five months pregnant at this point. It was pointed out that since Jenner is five months pregnant, that means she will be having her baby around the same time as her sister Kim Kardashian. Kanye and Kim are expecting a child via a surrogate in January, and are also expecting a baby girl.

Poll Finds Democratic Race For Governor "Wide Open"

RadioOnFire.com - A new poll finds the Democratic race for Governor is wide open.
The Goucher College poll of 324 likely Democratic primary voters finds no clear front runner.
Poll Director Mileah Kromer says 44 percent of those Democrats don't know who they will support.

“We have had a summer full of campaigning, but I think our poll certainly reflects that.”
Eight candidates have either announced their campaigns or filed to get on the ballot.
Of the announced candidates, Prince George's County Executive Rushern Baker gets the most support at 13-percent.
In second place, at 11 percent, former Attorney General Doug Gansler.  He ran for Governor in 2014, but last week said he would not run next year.
Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz received 8 percent, and is tied for third with Maya Rockeymoore Cummings, the wife of Congressman Elijah Cummings.
She is considering a run for governor, but has not announced her candidacy.
Five other candidates who have launched campaigns are further back in the poll.
Former NAACP President Ben Jealous received 6 percent in the poll, while Montgomery County State Senator Rich Madaleno and attorney Jim Shea each received 2 percent.
Entrepreneur and former Hillary Clinton aide Alec Ross and former Michelle Obama advisor Krish Vignarajah each received 1 percent.
Two percent said they would choose another candidate. One percent said they would not vote while, another one percent refused to answer.
Educator and activist Ralph Jaffe is the only Democrat to formally file to get on the Democratic Primary ballot.
Among a list of nine candidates, the poll found 28 percent of Democrats said they would consider voting for Gansler, compared to 21 percent for Baker, 17 percent for Kamenetz and 14 percent for Jealous.
As for the type of candidate Democrats hope to nominate to challenge Republican Governor Larry Hogan, 55 percent said they hopes to nominate a more progressive candidate.  That’s compared to 34 percent who hope to nominate a more moderate candidate, and 8 percent hope for a more conservative candidate.
The poll found 26 percent said education was the most important issue when considering a candidate for governor, while 21 percent said the economy and jobs was the most important issue.  Racial and social justice issues was the most important issue for 16 percent of the Democrats surveyed while health care was the most important issue for 15 percent.

At Least 6 White House Advisers Used Private Email Account

WASHINGTON — At least six of President Trump’s closest advisers occasionally used private email addresses to discuss White House matters, current and former officials said on Monday.

The disclosures came a day after news surfaced that Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and adviser, used a private email account to send or receive about 100 work-related emails during the administration’s first seven months. But Mr. Kushner was not alone. Stephen K. Bannon, the former chief White House strategist, and Reince Priebus, the former chief of staff, also occasionally used private email addresses. Other advisers, including Gary D. Cohn and Stephen Miller, sent or received at least a few emails on personal accounts, officials said.

Ivanka Trump, the president’s elder daughter, who is married to Mr. Kushner, used a private account when she acted as an unpaid adviser in the first months of the administration, Newsweek reported Monday. Administration officials acknowledged that she also occasionally did so when she formally became a White House adviser. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter with reporters.

Officials are supposed to use government emails for their official duties so their conversations are available to the public and those conducting oversight. But it is not illegal for White House officials to use private email accounts as long as they forward work-related messages to their work accounts so they can be preserved.
